Eelco Hoekstra joined the Executive Board of Directors of SHV Holdings, headquartered in Utrecht, in April 2022. SHV Holdings is a privately held family company with a strong position in a number of operational areas and selected investment activities. The Group companies are SHV Energy, Mammoet, Makro, ERIKS, Nutreco, Kiwa, NPM Capital and ONE-Dyas. Prior to SHV Holdings, Eelco worked at Royal Vopak, the world’s leading independent tank storage company, headquartered in Rotterdam. He joined in 2003 and has over twenty years of experience in the international tank storage industry, with postings in the Middle East, Latin America and various positions in Asia. In 2011, he was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO. Before Vopak, from 1995 to 2003, Eelco worked in various positions for Marquard & Bahls’ subsidiary Oiltanking. Eelco holds a Master’s in Economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
